FieldScout UV Light Meter


The amount of UV radiation has consequences for man, animal and plant. Plants can experience damage in the mid-UV range for instance stress, DNA damage and photosynthesis inhibition. You can also determine whether UV limiting measures have an effect.

The meter has the following specifications:
 
  • Calibrated to display the intensity of ultraviolet light in the 250-400 nm wavelength range
  • Determine UV filtering capacity of greenhouse shades and glass barriers
  • Range is 0-200.0 µmol·m-2·s-1 (full sunlight)
  • Accuracy: accurate to ±5%. Cosine correction is accurate to ±3% at 45°, and ±7% at 80°
