CM 1000 NDVI Meter
This meter measures the Normalized Difference Vegetative Index of leaves or leaf canopies with a simple point and shoot method. The light in the spectral ranges of red light (660 nm) and near infrared light (840 nm) is measured and for calculating the index and giving you results of the absorption ability of the leaf samples.
The meter features:
- Detects stress earlier than visual monitoring
- Computes Normalized Difference Vegetative Index (NDVI)
- Laser guides outline the edges of the measured sample area
- Calculates and displays a running average for multiple readings
- Connects to any GPS receiver that has a serial output option*
- Equipped with internal data logger and RS-232 port
- Records 3,250 measurements (1,350 with added GPS/DGPS option)
- Configure and download meter with FieldScout® software and USB-to-3.5mm-Stereo-Plug Adapter (Item 3661U.(included)**
- Compatible with SpecConnect
- Includes hard carrying case and batteries
Software
FieldScout CM 1000 software is included for extensive data logging and the use of a GPS for stamping your measurements. Please see further under 'GPS'.
You can download de FieldScout Software for free using this link and choose FieldScout PC Installer:
Software
You can also use FieldScout SpecConnect Pro for further analysis, map plotting etc of your measuring data. Please visit this link for this particular software option::
FieldScout SpecConnect Pro.
GPS
Your measurements can be stamped with GPS data. This is done by connecting a separate GPS device to your CM 1000 NDVI meter. You will have tpp p[urchase a GPS device separately. Connecting the GPS device to the CM 1000 NDVI meter is done by by using two cables.. First you'll need a GPS/DGPS cable (ST-2950CV5), available from our webstore and a PC interface cable (serial) available from the manufacturer of the GPS device of your choice.
